About the EAL:

The purpose of this Association shall be to:

• Maintain and improve quality education for all.

• Help each student realize his/her potential as a worthy and effective member of the society.

• Advance the interest of public education and increase the efficiency of education as a public service.

• Cooperate with and help promote all efforts directed to improve the educational life of the community of Leicester.

• Uphold high professional standards and to advance the socio-economic well being of educators.

• Promote respect for the professional, and to foster unity and understanding within the profession.

• Develop and promote such ethical practices and standards of preparation and participation as mark the profession.

The EAL is an affiliate of 
the Massachusetts Teachers Association and the National  Educational Association.
